Forced into uneasy partnership with the boy she lost, Lana finds old wounds reopening and buried feelings harder to ignore. She has never stopped feeling indebted to David for helping her escape, and finds herself protecting him now as he once protected her. But with each trial demanding greater sacrifice, she must decide what she is willing to give up: her hard-won freedom, her reclaimed power, or her heart.
